ERROR FIXED | Please include in diagram where the KEY of the connector sits , the way you show it in your diagram the plug could be fitted both ways which can cause damage to the television or monitor . Thankyou | APPROVED | ||
ERROR FIXED | Your pin out diagram of the plug is totally wrong and has caused me many nights of stress . I physically removed the Sonys rear circuit board and it shows printed on the board the numbers on each pins which do do correspond to yours listed. With your Plug diagram you show on the top row from left to right pins 2 to 34 , bottom row from left to right pins 1 to 33. Now this is totally wrong , with the Sony plug it reads as followed top row from left to right 18 to 34 , bottom row from left to right 1 to 17. Also what was not shown in your diagram was were the plugs key should be positioned ( plug could be fitted two ways and can cause damage if incorrectly fitted) the key should be positioned on the top row ( 18 to 34 ) of the multi pin plug. 2008-11-27 22:07:59 | rev. 3 | duane wong | The Pinouts FAQ link does not function. |
2008-11-27 22:08:22 | rev. 3 | duane wong | Your page is the only one I found on the Internet that comes close to making sense as far as the right orientation of the cable end, jack, or plug. However, I wanted to verify that the #1 pin is on the opposite side of the cable end compared to where ide floppy #1 pin is located. |
2008-11-27 22:08:39 | rev. 3 | duane wong | I read the 3 errors fixed/comments and the one that interested me was the one about 1-33 and 2-34. I have seen a diagram floating around on the net with a similar numbering scheme. It is incorrect according to your document. In your document it goes 1-17 (bottom) and 180-34 (top) with the key on the top. However, on my tv the key is to the left and this confuses me. |
2008-11-27 22:08:52 | rev. 3 | duane wong | 'connector' is misspelled in the document, making me think that the information may not be correct regarding orientation of the plug or jack's #1 pin and the 'key.' Please inform me if the key really is on the 18-24 top side of the connector or jack. |
2008-11-27 22:09:02 | rev. 3 | duane wong | Confused: On a computer the ide cable has pin 1 marked with red insulation. It is on the opposite side of where pin 1 is according to your document. Which is correct? I am trying to hook a motorola hdd-200 hdtv decoder to my 25xbr television and am having M&M High Tech make a cable. But, they have never seen one of these applications. Sony no longer sells this px-34 cable in question. Need more data to intelligently make the cable. Thanks. |
2008-11-27 22:09:13 | rev. 3 | Duane Wong | I am confused about the orientation of the plug's key and the numbering 1-18 and 19-34. Is the key really on the 19-34 end? Thanks. |
2008-11-27 22:09:25 | rev. 3 | Duane Wong | Correction: Is the key really on the top at 18-34 vs. the bottom 1-17? |
