This is the plug for SONY Clie T and NR models, and should fit to all past and current Clie models, Clie T625, 675C, NR70, SJ30, SL10, NX70, etc...
The T, NR, NX, SJ, SL of models (and probably also all future Clies) have no RS232 serial interface and RS232 devices can't be directly attached to them; a converter chip like a MAX232 is required.
The Clie sockets have all 20 pins. However, only 18 are used as the outer pins are either ground or not connected. The two outermost contacts are noted in the table but are usually disregarded. If one counts directly at the plug, Pin 1 would be thus not occupied, pin 2 GND (logic and power supply), Pin 19 again GND (logic and power supply), and Pin 20 again not occupied. Pin 11 on the pinout table is an unregulated power output - it is directly connected to the battery circuit and will drain the battery if left unattended to the point where the Clie will lose its memory. Also, this pin is fused at approximately 250 mA total and when it's blown it is very difficult to replace without a professional rework station.
The counting takes place from RIGHT to the left, NOT LEFT TO RIGHT!!!
